Wyoming rules.  Yellowstone alone is incredible, but the other expanses of the state are just as cool.  When I was 5, we took a cross-country trip from New York to California, and when we finally got to Wyoming, it was when I really felt like I was in a whole different world, somewhere very different from back East... and I totally remember FEEDING THE BEARS (that was before it was politically incorrect...)  Anyway, I didn't make it back until my 2001 Cross Country Road Trip, but I made the most of it, taking this approximate route across the state (SEE MAP BELOW).  After spending the night in a lovely Motel 6 in Gillette, the next day was a long, long trip across the mountains and valleys to get to my friend Eric's house in Jackson Hole.  After 2 great days of hanging out there and swimming in some freezing Teton lakes, it was off to Yellowstone and then Montana.  Read More About My Trip Here!
