Vermont is special to me because for quite a while, I had been to 47 States, and FINALLY in 2007, I made Vermont my 48th.  It was right about at the spot on the map below where I finally crossed the VT State Line, and it lived up to the billing.  I spent the day in Burlington, on the shores of Lake Champlain, then took super-scenic I-89 to Montpelier, the most ADORABLE State Capital I have ever visited.  I ate Maple Candy till I was a little nauseous, then continued on through to New Hampshire.  Beautiful State, can't wait to go back!
