We wanted to come up with a really cool Hermosa Beach TShirt, and after multiple attempts, we present to you, "Hermosa -- It's a Really Happy Place" -- and that comes from the heart.  If you are a fan or resident of one of the coolest, most fun, most beautiful beach communities in America, this tee shirt is for you.  It's perfect to wear anywhere around the South Bay, or if you're far away from home, it'll remind you of the good times.  And, I know that the original translation was probably lost a long, long time ago, but I've been told that Hermosa means Beautiful.  Design features our stylized take on the sun setting over the Pacific, with a little smiley face.  It make a great gift for Guys and Gals who love the beaches of Southern California.

No description of the South Bay, of Hermosa or Redondo or Manhattan Beach, would be complete without mention of my college buddy, Frank, who's actually from San Pedro, and was my direct pipeline to all things related to the SoCal Beach and Volleyball Culture.  I visited for a few days the summer before my senior year in college, and got a really good look at the good life that goes on down there.  Later that year, a friend gave me a t-shirt from Sushi Sei in Hermosa Beach, which became one of my favorite t shirts, though I wouldn't try a bite of sushi until years later.  When I lived in LA for 4 months in 2001-2002, I visited Hermosa a number of times, but my most distinct impressions would have to be these two: first, a couple of years ago, we'd completed doing a trade show in LA, and I had reconnected with Frank and we met for breakfast at another place I used to have a t-shirt from, Uncle Bill's Pancake House. Great place.  It was mid-January, and after breakfast when Frank went back to work, I drove down to Hermosa, walked down to the beach, and there I am, sitting on the beach at 11AM in January, and it's a brilliant blue sky and 70 degrees, and I had to fly back to frigid Chicago that night.  So I think of Hermosa Beach for that.  Later that year, I actually FINALLY did go eat at Sushi Sei, with my friends, Rosa, Heather, Melanie, and LA Michelle.  The sushi was GREAT.  We went to a few bars after, and I was told by them and others, "this is probably the one place in LA you could possibly really have a Chicago-Style Pub Crawl" - so of course, I respect that!  And finally, it's fun to say "Hermosa" -- it's one of those Spanish/California Place Words that just sound cool, like "Malibu" or "Baja" or "Cabo".
