It's going to be really hard to keep this chapter to a reasonable length, as I've spent a LOT of time in Cali.  I actually went to First Grade there, then went to college there, then worked there for a couple of years, then lived there again when I was between jobs.  I've lived for various stretches in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Santa Monica, San Jose, Redwood City, Los Gatos, and near Visalia (no joke).  So much has been written and said about the bounty, beauty, and diversity of the Golden State, that I can't add much but to say, my favorite places are: Yosemite - amazing, everything they say; Santa Barbara; Death Valley National Park - fantastic; Lake Tahoe; Joshua Tree National Park; and I have even been to places like Porterville, Hollister, Susanville, Indio, Barstow, and Weed.  Back when we started the company, I thought, "we have to have a separate Nor-Cal and So-Cal tee - we can't just do a California Girl tee" -- but even though Sausalito and Irvine couldn't be more different, the fact is that a California Girl is a California Girl.  The Beach Boys were right on the money with that one!

We've got quite a few other Calif tees, so I will save the other stories for those shirts, but even though I'm a Midwesterner, a part of me will always be Californian, and I Love California Girls (hey, there's another t-shirt idea right there!)
