The ATL Girl Tee is our New, Mod t-shirt for Atlanta Girls -- the shirt reads ATLgirl and the tag line reads, "The World is Our Perimeter" -- the design features our "Artist's Rendition" of great features of the Atlanta Skyline, all neatly surrounded by Interstate 285.  We happen to know that people from Atlanta believe that Atlanta is definitely the center of the universe and of course, the leading city of the South (sorry, Macon!)  We think this is the perfect t shirt to wear whether you are representing ATL on your travels, or just to wear around town.  And if you have a special Atlanta woman in your life, this tee makes the perfect gift.

According to Chris:

Atlanta and I go back a long way.  Growing up in Florida, whenever we flew anywhere, we had to change planes in Atlanta. Good old Eastern Airlines, and then of course, Delta.  I think I was in the ATL airport maybe a dozen times before I ever actually set foot outside in the actual city!  My next connection with Atlanta, as a young teen, was -- as I've made no secret of -- I used to be a big, big Atlanta Braves fan.  Florida did not have a team back then, and thanks to Ted Turner, we got 162 games on good old Channel 17.  Shortly after the Braves finally won their one World Series in '95 (they should've won about 7!) -- was when I became more and more immersed in Wrigleydom and Cubness, where I wallow today.  I did however, get to attend one game at old Atlanta Fulton County Stadium in 1993 (Box Score Here) and then a game at the new stadium in '97 or '98 I think.

I didn't really "hit the ground" in Atlanta until after college, when I worked on a project with a couple of guys from ATL, and got the full treatment... Buckhead, Coca-Cola Museum, The Varsity (where I had an "FO"), The Underground, The State Capitol, etc... and over the next few years, I probably had to make 25 short business trips to ATL to work in my company's office right on "Peachtree" downtown.  And I just want to tell the world, I believe I ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A every single day I was there.  MAN do I love those waffle fries!  Oh, and when I was in that sampling room at the end of the Coke tour, I drank so much, I was burping for 2 weeks.  I am a big fan of caffeinated, carbonated beverages, but that was a bit much.

Anyway, I've dropped in on ATL quite a few times since then, and I have a number of good friends from Atlanta who fly up to Chicago every single year for my other company's annual party, TBOX.  Thanks to some input from these guys, and from watching "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and the Ludacris "Welcome to Atlanta" video on YouTube a few times, it helped get us in the right mood to design this shirt.  I also have known quite a few ladies from Atlanta over the years -- and, almost unfailingly, they carried themselves at all times with grace, elegance, and sophistication - but they knew how to get down too!  And, so there you have a frequent visitor / outsider's view of the great city of Atlanta.  I'll save most of this story for the other Southern Tees, but I do also LOVE Grits, Biscuits & Gravy, and the Lenox Square Mall, where I fooled around for a few hours once when I was supposed to be working!  I love you Atlanta, and I love you, Atlanta Girls!  Till we meet again....
